Orphanage Visit: NSS Unit 245 of Rajadhani Institute of Science and Technology organized a social service visit to Poly Garden Rehabilitation Centre, Kerala, on 17 September 2026. The programme was conducted as part of the NSS Unit’s commitment to community service and social responsibility. The primary objective of the visit was to promote compassion, empathy, kindness, and a spirit of service among students and NSS volunteers. As part of the initiative, the NSS Unit organized a collection drive to gather essential daily-use items required by the residents of the centre. Teaching and non-teaching staff members, students, and NSS volunteers enthusiastically contributed various essential items to support the initiative. The collected materials were handed over to the authorities of the rehabilitation centre during the visit. NSS volunteers also interacted with the residents and spent meaningful time with them, creating an atmosphere of friendship, care, and happiness. The interaction provided the volunteers with valuable insights into the importance of empathy, dignity, and inclusive community participation. The programme served as a meaningful learning experience, encouraging students to recognize their responsibilities towards the less privileged sections of society. The NSS Unit expresses its sincere gratitude to the Principal, Management, teaching and non-teaching staff, NSS volunteers, and all students for their wholehearted support and valuable contributions. The collective efforts of everyone involved contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the programme. The visit reaffirmed the spirit of the NSS motto, “Not Me But You,” and inspired the participants to continue engaging in meaningful activities for the welfare of society.
