B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at RIST offers a B.Tech programme designed to provide strong technical knowledge and practical industrial exposure. Established in 2010 with an intake of 90 students, the department focuses on high-quality teaching, hands-on laboratory training, and skill development aligned with modern engineering practices.
The curriculum combines theoretical concepts with practical learning through industrial visits, workshops, seminars, and project-based training. Students are trained to handle real-world engineering challenges and are encouraged to develop innovation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
The department is equipped with modern infrastructure including seminar halls, drawing halls, a department library, and advanced laboratories such as Fluid Mechanics Lab, Hydraulic Machines Lab, IC Engines Lab, Machine Shop, CAD Lab, Thermal Engineering Lab, and Basic Workshop facilities. A team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members guides students in academic excellence, technical skill development, and career growth.
