  • Seats to the B.Tech course will be allotted on the basis of performance in the KEAMentrance examination.
  • At Rajadhani Institute of Science and Technology, the reservation of seats is divided into 3 categories for admissions- merit quota, management quota, and NRI quota. Where 50% of seats are for merit quota, 35% for management quota and 15% for foreign nationals
  • Admission through Merit Quota – Candidates interested in B.Tech program need to appear in KEAM and join through centralized allotment process.
  • Admission through management quota. Students are required to write the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)/KEAM and if qualified admission in management seat is possible.
  • Admission through NRI quota – Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) put together. Candidates belonging to this quota are exempted from appearing in KEAM. For admission into the B.Tech program, NRI Students submit relevant proof for their NRI status.

Eligibility

Academic Eligibility

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, and 45 % marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission.

●In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered.

●The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility.

● Candidates who have Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examinations, or an examination recognized equivalent thereto, by the State Board of Technical Education after undergoing an institutional course of at least 3 years from an Institution approved by AICTE, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the final year Diploma Examination are eligible for admission to the special reservation quota (DE).

●The Vocational Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, has been recognized as equivalent to the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala.

Age Limit
●Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December. No relaxation in the minimum age will be allowed. There is no upper age limit

Eligibility for admission(Management Quota Seat)

 

● Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, and 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Bio-technology / Computer Science / Biology put together are eligible for admission.

●  If an applicant is found ineligible for whatever reasons even after admission into the Program, his/her admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original Certificates / documents of the applicants. The decision of the Admissions Committee regarding eligibility of any applicant shall be final. For genuine reasons, management will have the right to deny admission to Management / NRI quota to any candidate even if otherwise eligible.

Relaxation in marks

● For all the courses, candidates belonging to socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) with a total annual family income not exceeding Rs. 4.5 Lakhs, will have a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination.

● The Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination.

 

Eligibility for admission(NRI Quota Seat)

● NRI seats will be offered to the children / ward / dependent of NRI, based on their total percentage of marks for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the 12th Std. examinations, if they satisfy the stipulations of the Government of Kerala, AICTE and the affiliated university

● Children of NRI will be given first priority.

● Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science /Biology put together are eligible for admission.

● Applications should be supported by valid documents showing that the candidate is a child / ward / dependent of NRI.
