
The National Service Scheme (NSS Unit No. 245) of RIST organized a Volleyball Tournament under the theme “Serve Hope, Smash Drugs” as part of an Anti-Drugs Awareness Campaign from 05/08/2026 to 07/08/2026. B.Tech and Diploma students actively participated in the tournament with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy lifestyle through sports. The participating players took an Anti-Drug Pledge, committing themselves to staying away from drugs and encouraging others to do the same. The event promoted teamwork, discipline, leadership, and a spirit of healthy competition among the students. It also highlighted the importance of sports and physical activities in keeping young people away from substance abuse. The programme successfully conveyed the message of maintaining a healthy, positive, and drug-free campus.
